Victor Duvalier International Warranty

The following Victor Duvalier limited warranty (“VD Warranty”) applies to original Victor Duvalier watches purchased in the original labeled packaging and sold or presented for warranty service in any country (the “VD Watch”).

1. WHAT THE VD WARRANTY COVERS AND DURING WHAT PERIOD

Under this VD Warranty, Victor Duvalier guarantees its VD Watch against defects in manufacturing and materials for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of original retail purchase (the “Warranty Period”). The VD Warranty is only applicable to watches purchased from the official Victor Duvalier webpage, a Victor Duvalier store, or an authorized reseller.

Victor Duvalier will provide repair or replacement of your VD Watch or part free of charge according to the VD Warranty terms. Please note that the rights conferred by the VD Warranty are in addition to those provided by consumer laws and regulations in your applicable jurisdiction. As such, the VD Warranty and its benefits are in addition to, and not instead of, rights provided by applicable consumer law.

For Australian Consumers:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. LIMITATIONS TO THE VD WARRANTY (WHAT IT DOES NOT COVER)

The VD Warranty does not cover:

  • (a) Non-VD Watches.
  • (b) Batteries, straps, link bracelets, or glass.
  • (c) Routine maintenance and cleaning.
  • (d) Damage caused by accidents, improper use, mishandling, lack of care, tampering, abuse, wear and tear, or any other factor unrelated to a defect in manufacturing or materials.
  • (e) Water penetration caused by use inconsistent with the VD Watch’s ATM (Atmospheres) mark.
  • (f) Damage resulting from repair, service, or alteration by anyone other than an authorized Victor Duvalier retailer or service provider.

3. WHAT WE WILL DO IN THE EVENT OF A WARRANTY CLAIM UNDER THE VD WARRANTY

If, during the Warranty Period, your claim falls under this VD Warranty, Victor Duvalier will, at its discretion:

  • (a) Repair the VD Watch using new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability.
  • (b) Replace the VD Watch with the same model (or, with your consent, a product with similar functionality) formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability.

For warranty claims submitted in a country other than the country of purchase, Victor Duvalier may repair or replace the VD Watch and/or parts with comparable VD Watch’s and/or parts that comply with local standards.

You will not be charged for the repair or replacement under this VD Warranty if the claim is within the scope of the VD Warranty. Furthermore, Victor Duvalier will be responsible for the costs of return shipping and handling for VD Warranty claims.

If the VD Warranty does not apply, is void, or is rejected, Victor Duvalier will notify you accordingly. You may then decide whether to proceed with the repair or replacement or if you wish to have your watch returned. If you proceed, you will be charged for part or all of the repair or replacement costs, including return shipping and handling.

4. HOW TO OBTAIN OUR REPAIR SERVICE

To obtain repair or replacement of your VD Watch under this VD Warranty, please contact your local Victor Duvalier customer support at:

Alternatively, visit an authorized Victor Duvalier store or retailer. They will provide information about our warranty service.

The VD Watch must be accompanied by proof of purchase (i.e., receipt or the original Victor Duvalier warranty card/certificate included with the watch in its original packaging at the time of purchase). The warranty card must be duly completed, dated, stamped, and signed by an authorized Victor Duvalier store or retailer.

When sending your VD Watch for repair or replacement, ensure it is carefully packaged to avoid damage during shipping.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Except as provided in this VD Warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Victor Duvalier is not responsible for any direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including but not limited to loss of use, revenue, profits (including loss of profits on contracts), business, opportunity, or goodwill.

Subject to applicable laws and regulations, the maximum liability of Victor Duvalier for breaching any written or implied warranty with respect to the VD Watch shall not exceed the retail purchase value of the VD Watch.
